The hand of Siza Vieira

By Siza Vieira’s design, come 6 different pieces of furniture: the beds, the two bedside tables; the sofas of the 1 bedroom house, the chairs and the wardrobe. These two last pieces, drawn specifically for Pico da Vigia, assuming the names of “Santa Barbara chair” and " Santa Barbara wardrobe”, after the parish where Pico da Vigia is located.
In what is “his signature”, the architect designed simple and beautiful furniture. In his own words, he likes “that a chair looks like a chair”…
Combining his work with old style furniture worked perfectly. Without any struggle for highlight, in a harmonious coexistence, without being noticed, without being forgotten.
